The Humans mind always remains busy in thinking to create some different. His curiosity enables the humans to explore the nature. That’s why we see lot of innovations in the today’s modern World. Now the man has reached at the space & is thinking what should be the next destination. There are lots of creative things in the World that can be discussed but now here we will talk about the top ten tallest buildings in the World in 2014.
1-Burj Khalifa
Burj Khalifa is now the tallest Building in the World since 2010. This beautiful building is located in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) & its height is 828 meter (2717 ft). The Construction of this skyscraper was began in 21 September 2004 & completed in 1st October 2009. This World’s tallest Building was officially opened for the tourists on 04 January 2010. It has 163 floors & 46 maintenance levels in the spire.
2-Shanghai Tower
The Shanghai Tower is the 2nd highest Building in the World & expected to open in 2015. It is located in Lujiazui pudong Shanghai. The Construction work on this Building was started in November 2008. The total height of Shanghai Tower is 632 meters & the total amount of money is estimated as 2.2 billion Dollars. Shanghai Construction Company is the main contractor of this beautiful Shanghai Tower.
3-Makkah Royal Clock Tower Hotel
Abraj Al-Bait Towers which is also called Makkah Royal Clock Tower Hotel is located in Saudi Arabia. This beautiful Building is some meters away from the Largest Mosque of the World Masjid al-Haram. Now it is the 3rd tallest Building in the World. The Construction of 601 Meter Tallest Makkah Royal Clock Tower Hotel was started in 2004 & was opened for the first time in 2012 for the general public. It has 120 floors. The Saudi Binladin Group was the main contractor of this skyscraper.
4-One World Trade Center
The One World Trade Center is the 4th tallest building in the World with a height of 541.3 meter. After the destruction of the original World Trade Center in September 11, 2001 it was decided to build the One World Trade Center after a lot of debate. It is located in 72 Vesey Street New York City United States. It has 104 floors plus five basement floors. This skyscrapers construction was started in April 27, 2006 & is expected to open in 2014 for the general public.
5-Taipei 101
This lovely Building is located in xinyi District Taipei Taiwan. The total height of this skyscraper is 509 meter & is the 5th tallest Building in the World. From 2014 it was the tallest building in the World & with the construction of Burj Khalifa it is now ranked as the 5th tallest. Its construction was started in 1999 & officially opened in 2004 for the general public. Its total cost is estimated as 1.8 billion dollars & has 101 floors.
6-Shanghai World Financial Center
The 6th World’s tallest Shanghai World Financial Center is an office, Hotel, Museum, Observation, Parking & the retail Center. It is located in 100 Century avenue Pudong Shanghai China. Its Construction was started in 1997, Completed in 2008 & was officially opened in 28 August 2008 for the first time for the visitors. It is 492 meter tall & has 101 floors with 91 lifts/elevators.
7-International Commerce Center
The International Commerce Center is a Hotel & is used as Commercial Offices. It is situated in Hong Kong. This Skyscraper was constructed in phases. The Construction was started in 2002 & completed in 2010. 484 meter tall International Commerce Center has 118 top floors. It has also 30 passenger lifts & 14 Shuttle lifts/elevators. Sanfield Building was the main contractor of this land mark.
8-Petronas Towers
The Elegant Skyscraper Petronas Tower 1 is the 8th tallest Building in the World. It is located in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. This is used as Commercial offices & is the lovely spot for the tourists. Its Construction was started in 01 March 1993 & finished in 01 March 1996. The total cost has been estimated as 1.6 billion Dollars. The 451.9 Meter tall Petronas Towers have 88 floors plus five basement floors. The main Contractor for tower 1 was Hazama Corporation while for the 2nd tower was Samsung Engineering & Construction.
9-Petronas Towers
Another Skyscraper Petronas Tower 2 is the 9th tallest Building in the World. The Towers, Petronas 1 & Petronas 2 have the same height & design. 10-Zifeng Tower
The 89 story Building Zifeng is the 10th Tallest Building in the World. It is located in Nanjing China. Its Construction was started in 2005 & completed in 2010. This Beautiful Building is 450 meters tall & has 66 floors plus five basement floors in it. It was opened for the first time in 18 December 2010.
